Welcome Parents!
Welcome to science at Sandia High School. We have a very busy and exciting year in store for us! First, let me first introduce myself—I am Mrs. Clevenger. I have a Biology degree from UNM, which is where I got my teaching license. This will be my second year teaching at Sandia High School after transferring from Albuquerque High.
I realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best this year to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience. However, I cannot do this alone. I need each of you to encourage your child at home by helping to ensure that they have completed their assignments and have studied for tests. To help keep you informed, I send class updates by email. To be added to my list of parents please email me at clevenger@aps.edu and include your child’s name and class period.
ParentVUE and StudentVUE
You are invited to use ParentVUE with its student counterpart StudentVUE. It is an online information system for parents and students to log in and see the students's current grades, assignments, class schedule, and attendance.
How to Use:
- To REGISTER and LOGIN go to this website:https://mystudent.aps.edu/
- You need to APPLY FOR AN ACTIVATION KEY first. For this you will need your student's ID number and birthday. If you have multiple students you only need to apply for an activation key with one of them.
- Once you have a key you need to SET UP AN ACCOUNT before you can LOGIN to see the student's information.
Supplies
Students are asked to bring the following supplies to class:
- Pens
- Pencils
- Erasers
- Colored Pencils
- Binder with paper
- Calculator
- Signed Safety Contract
Students are expected to have these supplies every class period. If they are prepared for class it helps them be successful.
